A little explanation about the name of this website, Scacchis. I assume you have heard of the chess muse Caïssa, who was created in a famous chess poem by William Jones in the 18th century. However, Caïssa was not the first chess muse. Jones should be convicted for plagiarism ;) In the first quarter of the 16th century Bishop Vida wrote an elaborate poem in which he presented the first chess muse and her name was ... Scacchis.
